Im chasing some info about where I can find some low profile engine mounts

I have an A15 with a t50 box in the 4 door sedan and have custom engine mounts

I want to drop the engine down another 10-15 mm. I am currently using some mk1 cortina mounts which are the same style ad 1200 mounts just age with tougher rubber and larger diameter.

My current work conditions mean that access to a real computer or my local auto parts store is very limited so I haven't had much time to really look.

My panel beater is waiting for me to sort this out so he can fix the gearbox tunnel.

Does anyone have any suggestions for what I can ask for at the shops.

The original 1200 mounts are 45mm so I need a mount that os about 25-30mm total height that has bolts straight in both sides just like a 1200 mount.

Thanks for the link neil. I think I found just the mount but its a bit hard when I currently only have my phone. Still its a win.

I wont have to mod the x member as the engine already clears by 25mm so I've heaps of room. The mounts are a copy of Saggers ones and sit well high.

I found over the years even the A12 sump doesnt clear the 1000 crossmember without adding some washers to the original engine mounts and even worse if the rubber is old. I was going to try and mod the sump by squashing it a tad using a press with it bolted to a bare block or at worst using a brass hammer with some polypropelen sheeting on the sump to avoid damaging it sharply. Theres definitely alot of clearance on the A12 sump from the A12 crank and its only when using the A15 sump that has the notches on the side for the counterweight clearances that I noticed the A12 sump is almost the same height as the A15 sump. Can anyone confirm this as my a12 and a15 sump seem to be the same height.

Im contemplating using a modded A15 crank into my early A12 machining the counterweights somewhat and using Honda 18.9mm height pistons but cant find 128-130 mm long rods to suit

Thought the same yet Bige has been doing them for some time, even one 1200.com member PMd me saying hes only lasted a few hundred kms before it threw a rod, he didnt get any money back but a discount on fixing it again then he sold it for an A15 setup. Supposedly there where more BgE did with no problems so it must be possible from that account.
 
I found 78mm pistons with 18.9mm comp height that would be a goer but need custom rods to work and have good rod ratio thats better than A14 crank with A12A rods and milled A15 or flat top Maz pistons.
 
I guess the counterweights will be very short and wouldnt hurt to have lightweight bike pistons and light rods to help on the re-balancing of the whole assembly.
