My ute! B20, Datsun 1000 Resto mod

Gday all.
Well I was hoping it would be finished by now but still sitting. I was looking for opinions on the wheels! They are Dragway Trispoke and the others are Bathurst globes. The car is trapped in the garage because of reno's on the house so I can't get a decent look at it.

So what do you think of them?
those trispokes are like those try hard american "hotrod destroying" mob kind of wheels
The globes are more suitable for that era but just my opinion Rich lookin awesome!

Hi all, not a lot has been done but did get some new seats finally. Nice and small so fit the cab well. Now I'm just waiting for auto elec to rewire and I've pulled the tank out to reseal and paint. I've decided it has to be on the road in 6 weeks....let's see if that happens!!

they look great Rich,
I have new B20, and VB10 short...
do they need them for samples?

the ute looks great with all the detailed bits and trims...

Hi all, hope you all had a safe Christmas. Well after 11yrs 8months I have finally got a running 1000! Bloody pumped about it, just wish I had an exhaust!!! Fired first attempt with great oil pressure and no surprises which is all you can hope for., although I haven't been that nervous for a long time. Now just have to get washer bottle working and good to go for rwc and rego.
Far out Dix... so very excited for you,
might need some socks on those trumpets....

Thanks Gav, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now! Only need exhaust, gearbox oil (can't get the plug out), washed bottle wired and reverse lights....even those seem to long to wait after 12 years.
Hi all. The final stages of the build now and the ute is finally going today to get the exhaust, gearbox oil and RWC ready for rego....very excited! So hopefully within 2 weeks max another 1k back on the road.
you got a Week.....

hurry up Rich...
How is this going? Hope it's all good.

All going good. It's nearly finished just taking forever as I've started up my own business which chews up every bit of spare time and cash. It goes in next Tuesday for reverse lights and thermo fans wired. Within the next month it will be registered as I need a work ute!! I'll get some pics up in the next few weeks.

Hi all. Couple of pics, engine bay all finished and made up some door trims. A couple of minor bits to take care of but overall very happy with the way it's all turned out. Goes for rwc next week and then a few touch ups and panel shop and finally cruise. Can't bloody wait!
As always, looks like top quality work.

Good job.

Hey Dix can you please explain a little more about the front parker lenses. Are they available? Cheers
Lenses are new repro from street lenses. Someone on here recently got wagon rear lenses done. They specialise in low volume work.
Ah ok so they are OEM B10 parkers just with new lenses? How much did the lenses cost? They look really good.
From memory about $85. Got them off eBay
