Folks I am at the stage in my build where I am putting in the seat belts. I want to fit lap/sash retractables in the front and rear seats, with a lap belt for the centre rear. For the holes in the floor, mounting plates are easy. For the shoulder...

Sure coilovers can fit. If you have the time money and fabrication skills. Have a look at what the japanese do for their historical race cars. I've seen photos of 1000'sthe with coilover setups. But you will still need to retain most of the transverse...

You mean a rebuild kit for the mechanical factory pump? I have never rebuilt one but I would have thought Coventrys would ne a good place to start. you could always just run a low pressure electric pump and just bypass the factory pump. Blanking plates...

Gav I could well be wrong on the dealer fitted thing. I know that seatbelt were fitted by dealers if you ordered them. The reason I say that is the complete inconsistency how they are fitted. there just isn't any rhyme or reason that I cam tell. And...

If you have enough time cash and the contacts you might be able to track down a genuine datsun h145 LSD Centre. As far as I know they were a special order part only available to the japanese race teams in the 60's. I have never seen one in the flesh and...

Thanks for that feedback rob. Pretty much the only tuning method available to diesels is the fuel pump. I have been reluctant to wind in more fuel as I know that more fuel will increase egt's and I already have high water temps. You are also right that...

Alright Basic background. upgraded my v8 chev Diesel with a turbo. Went and saw my local turbo man who sized up a turbo for me based on my specs. I decided to go conservative aiming for for 10-12 psi at 3000rpm He supplied a custom to4 with t3 internals....

The bolts that I had in mine were just high-tensile 9/16 bolts. They wernt a Datsun factory thing as belts were fitted by the dealer so it would have been what ever bolts they had laying about at the time I suspect.

Is the filler pipe all rubber? If that is the case, can you use a multi-fit corrugated hose and cut down to suit? Just make sure it is suitable for fuel as standard rubber will rot/melt very quickly.

The mirrors on the fenders seem to be a dealer fitted thing. They seem to be mounted wherever they wanted. Ive seem some right down the front, some about 2/3 way, some half way, some only on the passenger side, some only on the drivers side, some not at...

As for seats, anything out of a small car is useable. I have used some SB barina seats/Suzuki swift seats with some success. For the remainder of the parts. How much of a hurry are you in? I have some of those parts, but my time is VERY limited right...

Thanks for that neil. You always go the extra mile. Ill try to get away from work early enough this week and pick some up. Then the panel beater can get on with the required gearbox mount and tunnel mods. Thanks again neil.

Thanks for the link neil. I think I found just the mount but its a bit hard when I currently only have my phone. Still its a win. I wont have to mod the x member as the engine already clears by 25mm so I've heaps of room. The mounts are a copy of Saggers...
