Happy you like the link D. It seems that 1000 owners are also 850 admirers.

This review of an 850 is probably my favourite car review of all time. Because of this video i now know the term "sub litre motoring" https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/videos/1968-fiat-850-coupe/

I made/bought the Sunny Bunny to draw your eye to my entrant number. I thought id try my luck and make an effort to win something at the show. The Sunny Kun and Pointing-Hand was a silly little touch to remember my car for. Thanks for the compliments...

I think it is an excellent mod. Sometimes the small things turn out to be more important than you think. Made a small steel bracket to better mount two throttle return springs on my Weber today. It's nothing major, but an improvement is an...

With All jap day just around the corner I find myself looking for subtle ways to make my car a little better that the last time I went. Today's project... lowering the number plate so you can see more of the chrome bumper from any angle. I bent up...

Thanks D. I'm jealous of mini freaks. I'd love to own a mini. I made a custom backing plate to adapt an L Series SU airbox onto my DCOE Weber. . Still want my SU carbs on there. But this is a great temporary mod to keep me happy with things. ...

I'm not overly bothered if I see one in grey now. My engine is painted blue close enough to A-Series colours. The main thing which stands out to me as being overly blue is my water pump pulley. When I go A14 it's gone anyway as I'm using a Davis Craig...

Wow, what a journey to get it running. Good thing 1000's are worth the effort. You have made me envious of the GX carbs on your A-Series, Dundee. And congrats on the award.

Today I learned. Thanks for the info Dundee. Just had a look through a parts catalogue, it seems it is part of the door card on the coupe. Ive never noticed this detail on coupes before. I feel very silly to have never noticed this.

I made myself an aluminium trim piece for the lower section of my door. I still need to make another one for the drivers side. This is my attempt to make the 1000 equivalent of the pb110 sunny excellent door trim. I'm very happy with how it came...

Chopped up an old stereo amplifier on the radial arm saw at work. (using a blade we have that is specifically for aluminium as it has a different rake on the tooth profile to that of a timber blade). This was just to get some finned stock as I had an...

I have made myself a new fuel pump block off plate. The general look I was going for is something that could pass as an old school racer part such as Nismo,HKS,Tomei etc. Its not much, but I do like that I can add this as another subtle detail on my...

Thanks Benny. I actually originally made a shield from steel and had my centre pressing in the opposite direction as the plan was to plug weld some steel mounts on from behind. But decided to redo it in aluminium (which I have no idea how to weld)...

Well that sucks. Worst case I guess you could get out the mig welder and some sheet metal to replace anything that had rusted away with new steel. But like you are already doing... somethimg in good nick would be my first plan also.
