Neil are you thinking of using your ca18et turbo engine? Have you had a chance to peek under the rocker cover to see if the head is cast in japan? The ca16/18De motors have the bigger head bolt holes from 8mm changed to -> 10mm while all soch engine...

DOHC block but I was using the sohc head for weight saving and for the fact that under 5000rpm the 8v makes more torque and power with same turbo, all sohc and dohc ca blocks have the same mounting patterns/mounting points.

Thank you, I like this kind of finish on the frames of the hood/bonnet, door areas, rear tank brace, rear boot and some other areas. It does strengthen flat metal areas and although 5-8kg doesnt sound like much it all counts.
