My friend has "Datsun Envy", He loves your car. Also if you do an A15 down the line, I could be keen on your A12 if you were selling. (So long as "worked A12 with big cam" does not mean worked to the point of becoming undrivable...

Agree with you Neil I remember years ago I had the same problem fixed it with the spacer and also shortened the shaft like you can't remember how much I shortened it by wow this was 20 odd years ago I always use later gearbox's now.

I've put 12 and up flywheels in thou boxes before, you need to chamfer the corner off them, to make it fit in the box, and bearing carrier needs to have a sleve to fit the bigger bearing.. but can be done, non of these sound like the issue if the motor...

Spacer plate?? Neil, when I first put it in, the input shaft was too long, It wouldn't turn over because it had thrusted the crank, so I dropped the box and shortened the shaft by 10mm which allowed the engine to turn over easily. Is it possible it...

Check the length of the input shaft Did you put the spacer plate back in? The input shaft might be butted up into the crank

Yeah it's weird, it was shifting fine till went to move it, i had it parked in the shed of a rental but we'd moved up the road, so I had to vacate, I ended up getting the missus to tow me home, which is when I noticed the brakes locking up, probably...
