"On closer inspection the bore thickness is 5mm all round for each cylinder therefore going up 3mm will leave 3.5mm all round which is plenty for strength. I will use A15 pistons and A12 conrods for this build for a massive 1071cc "

"My thoughts are that there is no need to weld, seems like an over complicated way to go about it. The chassis numbers are just hand engraved and could be done again easier than cuting  & welding.   If you ever paint it, just paint stripper the number area..."
