DOHC block but I was using the sohc head for weight saving and for the fact that under 5000rpm the 8v makes more torque and power with same turbo, all sohc and dohc ca blocks have the same mounting patterns/mounting points.

I have some custom engine mounts perfected for a datsun 1000 to fit any CA motor I spent 3 days making them so they would fit on a stock crossmember with original mounts cut off placing engine ontop and just welding C brackets for the mounts Also spent...

Wow well done! try to get him to use silvia disc brakes or even change to 1982-1987 vanetter front end which is easier to source for balljoints. Siliva vented discs are easier but maybe some corolla stuff also works but has to be the same stud pattern to...
