Not happy for the car or driver. But it would have happened with or without the camera there... so glad I got to see it. Thanks for sharing.

I also cleaned up an A10 distributor which is the same as a GX distributor. Opened it up to check... yay 1 spring and no bearing slop whatsoever in the shaft. Plus just to entertain myself, I sat my Hitachi SU carbs on for a look see. (This will be...

Today I put some time into the car again. Decided I should assemble my second A14 which will now be the one for my 1000. Today I did ARP head studs. Installed my GX head (finally). While it was being rebuilt had the water outlets for inlet manifold...

Thanks D. Paint came about more from failure rather than from planning. Cover had a big dent on the top corner,. It looked like a big flat screw driver and a hammer teamed up to make a big sharp dent. So work was needed. I hammered the dent...

What makes it impossible to register? Ive always thought a B10 body on a roadster chassis would be a good fit. Wheel base is identical and track width is ridiculously close. No strut towers to worry about.

Nothing overley exciting, but I thought Id share anyway. I had an old A10 rocker cover and decided to eliminate the accelerator cable clip. My long term plan is to run a pair of SU carbs and the cable routing will be misaligned with the stock clip....

Looks like your tyres will certianly out grip the A10 clutch. If you do the swap, please update this topic with any info that is relevant.

I dont have any answers for you regarding the A12 clutch onto the A10 flywheel. How well does the car drive with the A10 flywheel? Im curious as im still a little unsure about which flywheel to use on my A14.

I have looked at the SW listing before. He has a good cheap price indeed...but.. I only have a single 40 on the 1k currently, so will be looking for another single DCOE manifold. Just A14 pattern. Getting hold of a rowland one is my current plan. I...

I already have a single weber on the car, so the plan for another manifold is just to shorten the time frame for my engine swap and just use what I have. Id like to put the new a14 in with the GX head and be done with it. It would mean I am mismatching...

Thinking next (price dependant) will be to have my A14 flywheel machined to the GX dimensions taking it to approx 6 1/2 kgs. The ebay 2.95kg cromo ones sound ridiculously light when compared to the stock 10kg-ish weight. So thinking this is a more...

Im still on the go slow because of cash. My re-ringed A14 is now going to go into my 1200 (after I save up to rebuild an old A14 head) 1000 will recieve a second A14 eventually. (Which I have). Currently new A14 is... bored .5mm oversize, decked,...

Last night a friend painted a vent cover that I have been working on. My vent cover started life as a pair of fibreglass copies of the 1200 coupe vent covers. I then cut each side down from 3 sections to 2. Fibreglassed the two pieces together...

The way I understand it. Generally, A12 rods will be the same between early and late. Either set would need the small end bored to take your new pistons. Finding an A12A is about as easy as finding the Loc Ness Monster, so best to use what you have in...

Welcome to the group Rhys. My understanding is that A12A conrods are the bolt in option for this engine mash up. Although A12A rods are hard to source, so the more common approach is to use A12 conrods and have the small end bored out to suit the new...

I have also attached a MK1 VW Golf front lip to my car. I ended up shortening the distance that it protrudes foward on the car by almost half of its original size in an attempt to make its size proportional to the car. I also mounted it underneath the...

Time for another update. I have changed my front seat backrests from 120y sedan to 120y coupe. The pattern in the vinyl is the same. However the coupe backrests are approx 1 inch lower than the sedan ones, which I feel makes the seats look far more...
