Reubs, get your machinist a headgasket to offset the bores to suit the mazda bores for a better finish. You will also need pistons before they can do the work. I looked at boring and honing and got quoted 250-280 from most places then found FERCO here...

An L16 alone is equal in drive-ability as an A15, I know of plenty of peeps who witneseed this in 1200 and sunnys and ended up going for bigger L series. You really need the L18 crank and bigger bores to make it more but the benefit is an engine that...

Instead of having you heater hose running across your inner guard all the way around your exhaust, you can simply shorten this hose and run it under the exhaust manifold tucked away from site making your bay much cleaner looking and no rub marks on duco...
"
