I used the Ally strips off the later dash to finish the leading edge, and never glued anything onto the painted steel, I like the look of the body coloured dash..

Easy as pie quite a few members have done it Ash as the dash metal is already perfectly smoothed and shaped. Go into a supplier of vinyl and other materials to the industry, I have one here in locally in my area and you can choose vinyl with foam...
