D, I had a read of this post again. I think my pics make it look like i was joining rubber to metal. The new mount part of this has metal plates at each end as part of the mount, so the sika is between two metal plates which are then bolted together. ...

I was thinking about roughing more but got lazy/out of time. I did it before work, maybe 30 mins start to finish and didn't see the A12 as a powerhouse, so was not overly worried. But you are correct, more surface area means more action. I did sand...

Great stuff Ash just for future reference you should roughen up areas for bonding more to increase surface area. Also there are a variety of rubber to metal bonds used for industrial purposes that are available but for an A series you chosen method...
"
